National Ultrasound buys and sells new and used ultrasound equipment. The company has a facility in Atlanta that reconditions all the used ultrasounds. On the new equipment, National is the largest reseller of Chinese ultrasounds in the United States. The Chinese products cost 30% less than the like kind European or American products. "The Chinese manufacturers are very aggressive and are producing quality products that they back with longer warranties," says VP of operations Chris Williams. National started building relationships with the largest Chinese companies over 5 years ago when none of the big companies returned calls to the start up National Ultrasound. "We anticipate that this rate of growth will continue for many years to come," says Williams. The aging population here in the U.S. and the emerging international markets craving for the affordable imaging devices are cause enough to keep things rolling.
