Centuria Ranked 79th on Annual Inc 500 List

Company makes third consecutive appearance on the list

DULLES, Va., Aug. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Centuria Corporation announced today they have been named to the Inc 500 list for the third consecutive year. Ranked at number 79, the company was recognized for its fast growth from 2006 to 2009. Making the list for three consecutive years (191 in 2008, and 15 in 2009) shows extraordinary sustainable growth in the Federal IT contracting market.

"We are incredibly excited to be recognized once again for our success in growing Centuria into a profitable business where people want to work," said Kevin Burke, Founder and CEO of Centuria Corporation. "For the past three years we have been in the top 2% of the Inc. 5000 list. That level of growth can only be attributed to the hard work and dedication of our teams that work alongside our government customers each day to advance their missions."

Centuria's continued growth has been fueled by a number of major contract wins including the National Weather Service (NWS) for the Next Generation Radar (NEXRAD) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Western Area Power Administration (Western), Rocky Mountain Region for Information Technology Support Services. For NEXRAD, Centuria leads a team of 55 scientists, meteorologists, engineers, and IT experts providing infrastructure engineering design, development, implementation, production, installation, and integration support to support nearly 200 Doppler weather radars that provide critical tornado and severe weather warning observations across the Continental U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam, and Korea. For Western, Centuria is providing IT support for the marketing and delivery of reliable, cost-based hydroelectric power and related services within a 15-state region of the central and western U.S.

In 2009 and early 2010 the company revamped the entire management team with senior executives in every key role who have led other firms from $30 million to 500 million in revenues.
