"The Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2006 through 2009."  The leaders of the companies on this year's Inc. 5000 have figured out how to grow their businesses during the longest recession since the Great Depression," said Inc. president Bob LaPointe. "The 2010 Inc. 5000 showcases a particularly hardy group of entrepreneurs."

An early leader in the 3D imaging field, Direct Dimensions, Inc, founded in 1995, provides 3D measurement services and products to a wide variety of industries.  Recognizing the potential for 3D imaging, founder and CEO Michael Raphael led the company on through the extensive evolutions in 3D technology through the years maintaining leading skill-sets to meet the growing demand from the widening applications.

Today, Direct Dimensions lists among its customers major museums and artists, such as the National Gallery of Art, MoMA, and Jeff Koons, medical institutions like Johns Hopkins and Walter Reed, industrial heavy weights such as Harley Davidson, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, and other diverse organizations such as the National Park Service, US Army, US Navy, and FBI.

As 3D becomes more accessible with our world growing increasingly virtual, Mr. Raphael feels that Direct Dimensions is uniquely positioned to grow with what he sees as a 3D imaging explosion.   "We've stayed ahead of the 3D curve through our 15 years.  It is exciting to see our once niche industry just come into its own.  Within the next few years we believe that 3D imaging will change the way we learn, explore, shop, and interact online.  We very much look forward to riding this new 3D wave and feel well-poised for growth."
