Russell Sarder CEO of NetCom Learning Offers Advice on How to Grow a Company Following Six Principles

The discussion comes on the heels of Sarder's attendance at the Inc. 5000 conference where his company NetCom Learning was named among the list of the nation's fastest growing companies

NEW YORK, Oct. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- No matter what their product, most startup businesses want the same thing from their business: to grow. That goal is a lot harder to accomplish than it seems without the advice of a seasoned executive. CEO and entrepreneur Russell Sarder recently discussed what it takes for companies to successfully and profitably grow in his latest video. Sarder talks about the strategies he recommends after recently attending the Inc. 5000 conference where his company NetCom Learning was honored by being named to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies in the nation.

NetCom Learning has experienced phenomenal growth. In the last year alone the company has rolled out an ambitious growth and expansion plan that has included the acquisition of a new location in the Washington D.C. area to meet increased training demands. Expanded business training services include a live online training model with an online video channel and the launch of mobile application development courses. NetCom Learning has projected growth between 25 percent and 40 percent this year and already the company has experienced record-breaking sales in the third quarter.

"I'm asked often about the best way for a business to grow profitably and through my experience it really comes down to six fundamental principles that drive that growth. I've built my company on those principles and know from experience that they create a solid foundation from which any company can grow," Sarder said.

In his video Sarder shares how he has applied the following six fundamental principles to drive NetCom Learning's growth consistently for the last 13 years. He suggested building a strong leadership team; aligning the entire team to passionately promote the purpose, mission and value of the company; and create a growth fund for access to capital. He also suggests continually searching for ways to improve the business model to infuse growth; develop a market segmentation plan; and above all, focus on what the company does best even if it means learning to say no to other opportunities.

The 30th Annual Inc. 500|5000 Conference and Awards Ceremony was a special honor because only 5,000 out of the nearly 7 million private, employer-based companies in the United States make it to the list. The honor puts NetCom Learning in line with the likes of companies like Jamba Juice, Oracle, Microsoft and Zappos.com that have been named to the list in the last 30 years.
